Clark's Christmas Kids

Clark's Christmas Kids

We need your help!

For 33 years in a row, DFCS has partnered with Clark Howard, WSB Radio, and St. Vincent de Paul to operate Clark’s Christmas Kids, with the mission to ensure kids in foster care wake up with gifts on Christmas morning. In 2022, the program provided more than 22,000 gifts, fulling the wish lists of more than 7,000 children. This was made possible with support from the Governor and First Lady, state agency partners, and many other generous organizations and individuals throughout the state.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the program to go virtual in 2020 and 2021, but in-person events were hosted at various metro Atlanta Walmart stores in 2022, where customers had the ability to purchase gifts off of wish lists or donate. Donations allow DFCS to purchase gifts and transport them to “Santa’s Workshop” – our distribution facility.

Major supporters of Clark’s Christmas Kids include our home-team Atlanta Braves and their nonprofit arm, the Atlanta Braves Foundation. In 2021, they gave a generous monetary gift, helped sort and pack gifts at the distribution facility, and provided Braves gear to youth in DFCS care. The Braves Foundation donated and volunteered their time in 2022 as well.
