About RSM

Our Mission

The mission of the Right from the Start Medicaid Outreach Project is to enable children, pregnant women, and women with breast or cervical cancer to receive comprehensive health services through Right from the Start Medicaid and related programs.

Program Information

RSM Medicaid eligibility specialists work to help families obtain access to free and low-cost health care coverage. There are twenty RSM teams strategically stationed across the state. Each team works in office settings that are outside of DFCS buildings but well integrated in the local communities. Staff work various schedules including hours before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m., ensuring convenience for those who work. They have expertise in accessing eligibility for Medicaid for pregnant women, children under age 19, and women with breast or cervical cancer. As well, they accept applications for PeachCare for Kids and Georgia Partnership for Caring for those who are not eligible for Medicaid.

RSM also refers clients to other services and collaborative programs (link to Collaborative Programs and Referrals) that we know may be of assistance to them.
