Winder, GA – Barrow County Department of Family & Children Services (DFCS) has closed its doors at the previous location, 16 Lee Street, Winder, GA 30680, and today, October 1, will be moving the office and all operations to 63 Lays Drive, Winder, GA 30680.

The new Lays Drive office space has 24,000 total square feet and has increased front desk security features and enhanced parking lot security monitoring.

Due to COVID-19 and for the safety of our customers and staff, constituents needing economic assistance and child welfare services in Barrow County are encouraged to access self-service options online:

Those without internet access can contact the DFCS Customer Contact Center at 877-423-4746 to apply for benefits, check the status of existing applications or request assistance. Applications and verification for all program areas can be mailed to Barrow DFCS, 63 Lays Dr., Winder, GA 30680.
