Prevention Services Workgroup Kickoff Meeting March 26, 2021
The Prevention Services Workgroup (PSW) is charged with informing DFCS’s vision and plan for a statewide expansion and alignment of services that can safely prevent children and youth from entering foster care.

The Prevention Services Workgroup (PSW) is charged with informing DFCS’s vision and plan for a statewide expansion and alignment of services that can safely prevent children and youth from entering foster care. The group will proactively obtain and draw on a strong understanding of data on children and families within Georgia’s Family First target population, the results of Georgia’s preventive services array survey, input from experts, and insights from local and statewide prevention leaders. Based on this information, the group will form recommendations for an aligned Family First preventive services array.
The Prevention Services Workgroup held its first meeting on Friday, March 26, 2021 with the following agenda:
