ATLANTA - The Division of Family and Children Services recently named Kristin Toliver as Director of Fulton County DFCS.

Ms. Toliver, who has more than 15 years of experience in the social services arena, holds a Master of Social Work degree from the Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University. She has worked for DFCS since 2004, most recently serving as director for the Wellness Programming, Assessment, and Consultation (WPAC) Unit.  Prior to joining DFCS, Ms. Toliver worked as a Family Support Counselor Supervisor for Hathaway Children and Family Services in Pacoima, California.
 
Ms. Toliver begins her appointment as Director of Fulton County DFCS on August 1.

DFCS is responsible for the investigation of reports of child abuse; recruitment of foster homes for abused and neglected children; issuance of SNAP, Medicaid, TANF and childcare assistance to low-income families; assistance for out-of-work parents to help them get back on their feet as well as multiple support services and programs to help families in need.
