Cumming, GA – Forsyth County Department of Family & Children Services (DFCS) staff are preparing to relocate in early March.

The Division announced that doors will open at a new location on Wednesday, Mar. 4. The lobby at the current location, 426 Canton Road, Cumming, GA 30028, will close its doors on Tuesday, Mar. 3 and will reopen the following day at 8 a.m. in a new location at 6435 Shiloh Road, Suite C, Alpharetta, GA 30005. 

The new office building will be 18,425 square feet, will house over 35 DFCS staff and is expected to serve more than 5,000 families in Forsyth County.

DFCS customers needing economic assistance and child welfare services in Forsyth County will be able to apply in person for all services in the new location at 6435 Shiloh Road, Suite C, Alpharetta, GA 30005 beginning on Mar. 4. The new office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to walk-in customers.  For more information and updates about the relocation, interested parties may call 770-781-6700.
