Secret Santa Program

2020 Secret Santa

Over 8,000 children in foster care need your help!

Each year the Georgia Division of Family & Children Service operates a program called "Secret Santa" to help make the holidays a little better for children and youth in Georgia's foster care system. This year requests have been received for more than 8,000 children in 125+ Georgia counties. For the last few years, Secret Santa has allowed children to ask for 3 items with a cumulative value of no more than $150.

For the 30th year in a row, we have teamed up with Clark Howard, WSB-Radio, and our new partner Chris 180 to fulfill the wishes of thousands of children in foster care statewide!

Last year, with the help of Clark Howard and WSB News Talk-Radio, we provided gifts to over 10,000 foster children; 125+ counties were served. Most of the gifts were purchased during several live aired events at several Walmart locations in Metro Atlanta. Unfortunately due to restrictions imposed by COVID-19, the program will be handled differently this year and there will be no in-store Walmart events. All events will be held virtually from the studio of WSB-Radio, however, we still need your help! Your donation will allow us to purchase gifts, get them to our distribution facility, and into the hands of the children on Christmas morning. Any contribution you can make will get us that much closer to meeting our goal of 3 gifts for 8,000+ of Georgia’s foster children.

These children have experienced major traumatic events early in their young lives due to no fault of their own. Because of abuse and/or neglect by adults, they are away from their families, their pets, and their familiar surroundings during this holiday season. Please consider making a donation now to make their Christmas morning a little happier.

Although things may look a little different this year, you can still fulfill wish lists for Georgia’s youth in care by making a donation below OR visiting our new virtual shopping website

The Secret Santa program is just one of the ways that our child welfare system partners with our local communities to help improve the lives of youth who may have suffered trauma as well as support children who are away from their families during the holiday season. Though the times may be challenging, we look forward to another successful year!
