The June 12 meeting included:

  • An in-depth overview of the Family First Transition Act, which provides one-time, flexible funding for states and tribes to help implement Family First, and Georgia’s plan to utilize the grant funds in preparation for implementation;

  • A presentation of Georgia’s plan, timeline and phases for Family First implementation; and

  • Discussion of the role of the Advisory Council, including consideration of forming working groups and the tools needed for members to relay pertinent information from these meetings to their constituent groups.
