Special Investigations Unit
Special Investigations staff investigates reports of child abuse and neglect related to Child Fatalities, Serious Injuries, Near Fatalities, Foster Homes, and Facilities.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) provides a more standardized approach to assessing these types of investigations while promoting a more collaborative partnership with community partners such as law enforcement, hospitals, Department of Juvenile Justice, etc.
