FFY2026 Funding Opportunity Announcement
Georgia’s Children's Justice Act Task Force (Task Force), in collaboration with the Department of Human Services’ Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS), is offering grant funding for Federal Fiscal Year 2026, which begins Oct. 1, 2025. The Task Force is seeking proposals from non-profit agencies and public entity/state agency organizations for projects or activities that are responsive to both Children’s Justice Act (CJA) goals and objectives, state and Task Force priorities, and/or opportunities identified in the 2024 Three-Year Assessment to improve the quality of legal representation. Successful proposal applicants should exhibit cultural competency and an ability to address quality legal representation priority areas focused on workforce development, judicial handling, supervision, and representation of children and parents involved in dependency cases. Proposals are encouraged from applicants that serve historically unserved and underrepresented populations, including rural geographic populations of the State of Georgia, and individuals who are neurodiverse, LGBTQIA+, or victims of sexual offenses.
Awards of up to $100,000 will be available through Georgia’s CJA State Grant. This funding opportunity is not open to for-profit agencies and individuals.
Proposal Submission Deadline: Proposals must be submitted by Friday, March 14, 2025, at 12 p.m. EST. Awarded contracts will begin on Oct. 1, 2025.
