Periodic Reporting
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) customers certified or recertified on or after Nov. 18, 2023, are now eligible for longer certification periods. Customers this applies to will need to submit a periodic report at the midpoint of their certification period, even if there are no new changes to report. But don’t worry – DHS/DFCS will send you a letter the month before your periodic report is due to remind you of the deadline.
Here’s everything you need to know:
- If you have a 12-month certification period, you’ll need to submit a periodic report in the 6th month of your certification period.
- If you have a 24-month certification period, you’ll need to file a periodic report in the 12th month of your certification period.
You can fill out and submit your periodic report online at gateway.ga.gov, or via the paper form below.
If you choose to use the paper form, you will be responsible for submitting it to your local DFCS office by mail or in person.
Any customer who does not complete their periodic report and/or fails to submit required verification documents by their certification midpoint will have their case closed and will be required to reapply for benefits.
